The number of Russians buying real estate has skyrocketed in the last two years in the South, with an almost 50% increase. The sector seems to have taken off partly thanks to the proliferation of Russian real estate companies. The number could exceed twenty realtors on the island, especially in the tourist areas. Properties in Tenerife are quite a lot cheaper than in Moscow and other large cities.
